The Wobbly Surfer

Let me be crystal clear. I don’t like MS at all. But having it has its upsides. I get to paint a lot more now. The problem is that i don’t get to surf much. Having said that, I did get to surf for 45 years. So i shouldn’t whinge too much. But my memories … Continued

The Cove

Just finished a new piece. The Cove. An awesome wave . The original photo by Karl Angell of Ocean Art Photographic. Again this is ink and acrylic. My goal was to really dig into the fractured light captured inside the barrel of the wave. Not an easy piece to paint. But i am happy with … Continued

A new phase

Working hard on a new exhibition. I am amazed at the time it is taking but part of that has been a focus on some new techniques! Having a lot of fun with both acrylic and oil blends and water colour and ink. I will advise where the next show is soon! Col

Wendy the Wombat

This is Wendy the Wombat. 400kg of stone but with a beautiful smile! She is loved by many.

Holloway Gallery

Extremely proud to have been asked to exhibit my works at the gorgeous Holloway Gallery at Moffat Beach! Extremely honored

On being crippled

OK a bit contentious but relevant. I am crippled. The cause is MS. It means i cant surf like i used to and in fact cant walk much at all. Bit of a pain in the bum BUT it is continuously reshaping the way i paint. I can no longer do the very fine detailed … Continued

More new works

I am trying to keep challenging myself with continuing explorations into new styles. My take on good art is to keep it creative and powerful. I don’t have a goal to produce photo-realistic art works. People can buy photos if that’s what they want. I want my art to yell loudly from the wall, grab … Continued
